In the tub really?

After the water ran out of the tub, Payton didn't want to get out. I had to run into my room quickly and when I came back to the bathroom, all Payton could say was PoO PoO. That's right, Payton PoOpEd in the tub! He was embarassed until his dad came in and assured Patyon that he did it when he was a little kid as well. Payton smiled!

Massage anyone?

After I was done giving a massage, Payton JuMPed on the table thinking it was his turn. I think he just wanted to play w/ tha head rest!

I decided to try something new w/ Xoie's hair, and this is what I came up w/.

We made ChoColate PoPcoRn and Payton loved it, if you can't tell!

When he knew that the popcorn was on the counter, he pulled up a chair and ate away.

A break for mom!

So the toy may be a little big for her now, but it is a great break for me! She will stay in it for about 1/2 an hour and then she is done, but I do enjoy that half hour!

"Bees & Snakes & Caterpillars OH MY"

All in one day Payton experienced touching a bOa, being stung by a BeE, and seeing a very fuzzy caTeRPillAr!



Thank goodness our neighbors like animals, or Payton would never experience them. He is scared of them at first, but when he realizes they won't hurt him he is all about touching them.



Caterpillar's are more common here. It's the big fuzzy thing on the stick. Payton loves the way it feels!

On our way!

So we left Friday afternoon after Mike finished up some stuff @ school and I got the privlidge of driving the first leg of the trip so Mike could Study. As we were driving, we saw some of the most AmaZing sites. The trees are starting to change color as you can see and it was breath-taking to see. I have not seen anything like what I saw on the way to D.C.. Mike and I were even contemplating on moving to Maryland/Vermont after school. No decisions have been made, but it's not out of the question.
We had to take a break for a feeding session, so Mike and Payton got out and found sticks on the side of the road. Payton loves sticks. He didn't want to get back in the car. The kids did AMazINgly well in the car, that by the time we got into the hotel room they had to release something. As you can see Xoie crying on the bed and Payton singing a song that only he knows the words to. This was also there first experience in a hotel, and Payton had a blast rUnNIng (that's right, I said running) up and down the halls and jumping in the pool.

The Temple!

The Washington Temple is AmaZinG! We went to see the Temple Friday night & as we were driving to the Temple, we were all talking in the car. We asked Payton where we were going, and his response was "Home!" How true that is! We were able to go to the visitor's center where they have a statue of Christ. We went in and were met by a sister missionary. As Mike and I were talking to her, we looked over and Payton was standing by Christ's feet just looking at him. I must admit, I had a tear in my eye.
On Saturday we watched our neighbor's kids while they did a session. As we were waiting for them in the parking lot, we saw 3 deer walking around the backside of the Temple. It was AwESoME! We also saw a lot of squirrels and birds. Payton was in heaven. It was good to get back to the Temple, but sad to see how much we took it for granted. So we ask all those who are close to the Temple to take a visit for us at least every month! The church is TRUE!

Washington D.C.

After we got done at the Temple, we wanted to go to downtown D.C.. We didn't want to miss out on seeing all the sights while we were there. As we were in the metro waiting for the train, Payton was so excited to see the train, but as you can see when it came he was FreAkeD out! Mike said Payton was so scared that he was grabbing Mike's head and his legs almost PoPPed Mike's head off. Just take a look @ the picture, you will know the one I am talking about.
For there first train ride Payton did well. He was a little ScaReD when the train took off for the first time, but after a while he LoVeD every minute of it. Xoie couldn't tell a difference between the car & the train.
As we came up out of the Metro, the Capitol bldg. was right infront of us, we turned around and saw the Washington Memorial, we looked to the right of us and saw the White House, we walked to the other side of the Washington Memorial and saw the Lincoln Memorial, then we looked to the left and saw the Jefferson Memorial. We didn't go past the reflecting pond between Washington and Lincoln because the kids were tired. By the time we got to the train, The kids were out. Needless to say it was UnBEliVAble! The crazy thing is, is that we didn't even scratch the serface of D.C.. I can't wait to get back there, so someone needs to come and visit so I have an excuse to go! The trip was amazing and we all had a great time.

We're on our way!

Look how beautiful! Is it any wonder why there are more accidents on this corner than any other area of the turnpike? We leave tomorrow to make our first temple trip since being here. We are soo excited to finally see one of the great temples of the Lord. We will be arriving in Washington D.C. tomorrow after Mike gets off school, and we will stay until Sunday. Pictures will be updated of our trip.

Helpin the OLD man!

Payton has watched Mike and I clean the pool out a time or two, so as Mike got the brush to start cleaning the pool so we can close it up, Payton ran for the net to help him out. Like Father like son I guess. They both enjoyed the bonding time.



Mike is brushing the pool out to get it clean enough to close, while Payton is trying to get the leaves out of the pool with the net. He dropped the net in the pool a couple of times and left all the leaves in, but he did a great job helping his dad.



There are big black water SpiDerS that get in the filter and die. Well, we all know how Mike is deathly afraid of spiders, so he told Payton to check to see if there were any spiders in the filter. He was tempted, but opted out of the offer! Sorry Mike.



Mike was glad to teach the boy a thing or two about closing up the pool.

Nap time?

As Mommy was attempting to take a nap w/ Xoie, Payton wanted to join in by waking us up and he succeeded! Wahoo he said.
