We have had a blast at our house the past couple of weeks! Grandma and Grandpa Hansen came to visit us, and we had SO much FUN! The kids love there Grandparents even if Payton doesn't talk to them for a while. There faces say it all! Thanks for all that you did for us while you were here. Mike wanted me to send you the last Gas bill, but I told him he could give it to you when he get's to Salt Lake. :)

While they were here, we took a trip to Ohio. It's only a 2 hour drive so the kids were pretty good throughout the ride, but they had to know where I was at all times. They were watching Toy Story and wouldn't let go of my hand. Payton may look like he is sleeping, but when I would pull my hand away he would start yelling for it.

Of course my Husband and Grandpa had to go to the NFL Hall of Fame on the way to Kirtland. If you ask Mike about his experience, he will be the first to tell you it was a very spiritual experience for him. I guess I just don't understand Men and there sports! It was fun to see how serious Mike and my Dad took the whole experience.

We made it! You can see the stadium in the background. It's a pretty small stadium surprisingly enough.

The Man, the Myth, the LEGEND! Here is the famous Walter Payton aka "SWEETNESS"! It is a special time in a boys life when they meet the man they were named after. To be honest, Payton didn't really care, but Mike was pretty excited to introduce Payton to the MAN!

By the time we left Payton was able to look and him and say "That's Walter Payton" and then he would move on.

After a very exciting time at the Hall of Fame we continued on our trip to Kirtland. We got there to late Friday to go and see anyting at the Temple, so we drove to the town and watched a movie. The tours were done for the night so we went back Saturday morning and toured the Temple and the town. It was a good experience to see all the sites and be in the same room that Joseph Smith was in while he recieved revelations and visits from some pretty important people. I would love to go back one day when my kids are a little bit older so that I can enjoy the spirit a little more. It was a good place to visit and I highly recomend it if you have not been.

While we were at the visitor's center, Payton needed his diaper changed, so when it was all said and done, we gave him his old diaper so he could put it in the garbage. I was watching him to see what he would do w/ it and he spoted the perfect garbage in his mind. That's right, you guessed it. Under a minivan! Oh what will he come up w/ next?

We got home Saturday night and my Parent's were leaving on Sunday. We were able to spend Father's day w/ them and we had a great time. This is Payton eating his cake the best way he knows how. He is very inventive I must say.
I was very happy to have my Parent's here for Father's day. I have been blessed w/ an AWESOME Father. He has taught me many things about life, the gospel, and how to be a good person. Life wasn't always easy w/ him, but I don't think I would have changed it. It has brought us to where we are today in our relationship. I still think I drive him crazy at times. Sorry Dad. I still love you!
Then onto my Husband. It is scary how much he reminds me of my Dad. And yes, I think I push his buttons the same way I pushed my Dad's, but it's just to help him grow right? I have married a very talented Man. He is going to make an AWESOME Dentist, he is an amazing sculpter, he is a pretty good artist, he is a human calculator (I love it because I suck at math), he is very knowledgeable when it comes to gospel principals, he likes to take care of the yard, he likes to cook, he will do the laundry if I haven't gotten around to it. I could go on and on, but I think you might get a little bored w/ it, so I will end by saying I am one lucky girl to have landed such a GREAT guy. I love you babe. Happy late father's day.
