This weekend was crazy! Saturday morning around 5:15 I wake up to the light on in the hall and the bedroom door wide open. If anyone knows my Husband, he is very careful about not waking myself or the kids up so the light being on the way it was, was not natural for him. I get up and start going downstairs to see what is going on. I am in my underwear because I don't expect anything crazy going on at that time. On my way down, all I hear is Mike saying... "This isn't your house, get out!" At this time I get a little scared. My heart is pounding and a MILLION things start going through my head. I went back upstairs, looked out the window and I see cop cars in front of the house. I get dressed and go back downstairs to see Mike picking up glass off the floor. WHAT HAPPENED?
Around 5 in the morning Mike heard the someone trying to open the front door so he got up to see what was going on. He went down and found a VERY drunk young man trying to get in. He was yelling at him through the door telling him that this isn't his house and to go away. This kid was totally wasted! He didn't realize that Mike was talking to him. Anyway, he started pounding on the door trying to get in and pounded a little bit too hard on the window. As you can see, he broke the window and continued asking Mike to let him in. During this time, Mike called the cops and went into the kitchen to get something to clean up the glass. On his way back into the living room, Mike heard this dude open the door and started coming in the house. Mike got to him before he could get in and started pushing him back out. (that is when I was coming down the stairs) The cops showed up, threw the kid on the ground, cuffed him, threw him in the back of the car and took him to jail.
Mike had to take a friend to the airport about a half an hour after this happened and I was scared to death to have him leave. Well, he got home and we started doing yard work. The neighbor boy and a friend of his came over (I thought that they were just coming to see the window) to apologize to Mike. Come to find out the kid who was at the door was the Neighbor boys friend. He was trying to get into the neighbor's house, but didn't realize that he was at the wrong house. He was so wasted that he didn't remember anything that happened. He is going to pay for the window and feels really stupid for everything that he did. We just hope that he learns his lesson and controls the drinking.
WOW, what a long story, SORRY! Check out the window!
